French Connection

Alright guys...what i have for you today is...officially the ugliest piece of wax in my cratez! Naw just kiddin! It's a two tracker from boogie down production's KRS-One. On the a side we got 'knowledge reign supreme' and the b side features 'french connection'. Unfortunately i don't have any information on when it came out or who produced the stuff. Anyways both tracks are solid but in my opinion french connection dominates the record. I guess the thumping drums ( as we're used to it from krs) and the mysterious moody sample make this joint dope to me. But i've heard from a lot of people that they like the other track better...but hey...you be the judge!

Something i'm not really sure about is that on the french connection song krs mentions a guy called sec la rouge (i have no idea whether that's the way to spell it). And since the track doesn't feature any additional vocals i'm wondering whether that guy had produced that track. I don't know! Any information is much appreciated! Hope you enjoy the record!

Showbiz & AG Unreleased Gems

When i heard my first DITC track (which was 5 fingers of death) some years ago i was immediately caught by their style but especially by the unique vocals by Andre the giant aka AG. From that point on it was clear to me that I needed to cop all the Showbiz & AG jointz that were out there. After some years of collecting i figured i had gotten most of their stuff together. But soon after a record popped up which i hadn't seen yet. Lately a was able to get hold of that wax. It's a record with six unreleased tracks. Six tracks that bring you that raw DITC feeling to the fullest. But enough talking - Check out the record!

Life of a Fat Cat

Okay...time for an update. What i dug out today is a nice twelve inch of a guy called Fat Cat Kareem. Honestly i gotta say that i ain't really got a lot of info about this record. I would guess the record got put out toward the end of the 90's. But i'm not sure. If any of y'all know better then let me know. Anyways there are two tracks on it. The one on the a side is called real nigga livin and the b side joint is called life. Actually the only reason i got this piece of wax is cause of the b side. But that one's definetly worth it! Great production and solid vocals! The a side was produced by just blaze and features killah priest. But i don't really like that track. Somehow sounds too new to me. For that reason i didn't up that audio file. But at request i'll put that one up too.

I still wanna say peace to those who picked up on this blog in the last weeks and gave us positive feedback.

Peace & Enjoy!

Before i start with the new post, i just wanna say in the name of DigginMons that we wish you a happy new year and much luck for the future.
I know, i know... we didn't post much for two or three weeks but now i got time to rip some shit.
What i got here for you is a 12" produced by a british guy called AIM. True to Hip Hop is slow track blessed with AG's skills. The b side contains my favourite on this record! Aint got time to waste features YZ and gives you that typical summer feeling (hehe, some maybe know this joint from tony hawks pro skater). Nuff said...

Mista Edo What U Got?

Okay fellaz, here we go! What i've got here is a six track record from Boston artist Edo.G out of '96. For all of the tracks Edo.G got the Vinyl Reanimators behind the boards which should actually speak for its self. Additionally on most of the songs he has Nestle Quick at the ones and twos. Some of y'all may know him from some Scientifik jointz. Anyways with such solid production and such precise cuts Edo does really blow up the spi-dot! I really hope this one moves you the way it moves me. Cause in my opinion this shit is the bomb! Enjoy it!
